How are you? My
goodness there is a
lot going on this
month! Groundhog
Day, Thank a Mailman
Day, Compliments
Day, Don’t Cry Over
Spilt Milk Day,
Valentine’s Day,
Love Your Pet Day
and Random Acts of
Kindness Day, to
name a few.
So much happening
yet isn’t it easy to
focus on just one or
two things and have
them determine the
quality of our day –
us? Like whether or
not we are with “the
one” on Valentine’s
Day.
First of all – who
is “the one?” Do you
have a picture of
this person in your
dictionary? Pretend
you do. Close your
eyes and open your
dictionary to the
letter “O” for
“One.” Now - who do
you see?
I am going to take
stand and suggest
that a good face to
see is your own
staring back at you.
You are your
significant other.
Want proof? Wherever
you are
you can count on
you being there.
That is significant!
Now here’s a radical
suggestion. Don’t
wait on “an other”
to make your day
special.
What would you
like to do on
February 14th? Learn
how to Salsa, eat
chocolate dipped
ginger slices,
receive a huge
bouquet, a manicure,
an hour on the
putting green,
dinner with one of
“the ones,” a hike,
an ice cream sundae
trough the kind you
share with a bunch
of friends, a night
out at a comedy
club, an intimate
massage, a coffee
and a chat with Dad,
Mom, your best
friend from high
school – what?
where? who?
So - today, right
now start planning
your V-day. Today –
right now - is a
good day to begin
that lifelong
romance with
yourself.
