Long story short I uploaded a couple hundred photos from my wedding CD to my home town – Walgreens San Diego – they were ready in an hour – called Dad (who else would run around for me on what was now December 24^th?) – he picked them up, wrapped them up and put them under the tree for my mother.  

Let’s be honest. Who is the most important person to please at Christmas, or any major celebration? MOM.

My friends – I have hundreds of thank you notes to write. First there are the wedding thank yous for gifts, showers and special favors. Thank yous to Mom, Dad, new mom, new dad,
the photographers, caterers, Dana, Mary, Susan ... Then the Christmas gift thank yous … At first I was feeling overwhelmed. Actually I still am!!! BUT … here’s the gift.

So I rustled around in my boxes last week (still don’t have that room set up. sigh.) I pulled
out a little worn copy of Think & Grow Rich. It is worn – dog-eared - from being owned and moved around for fifteen years. In all these years I never read it but wouldn’t let go of it!!!  

So, you guessed it. I am reading it. The time must be right. I also made it right by deciding I’d have to read it or give it away. Imagine that.

6. Entertain Yourself!

I Love this book! I used to get these entertainment books years ago – back when I used to go out and be entertained! I think I forgot about them when I got into a very, very expensive relationship – the kind that didn’t leave extra for dinner or movies or even time out with friends.

But that was then - this is now and the book is back! 

It’s only Twenty Bucks to get great ideas on things to do – think Date Night – think Girl’s Night – Guy’s Night Out! It’s only twenty bucks for the discounts to do them - $6 movie tickets – complimentary lunches & dinners – gym specials (I need that!) – amusement parks etc. etc. 

Life is as fun as we make it. So is Love.
 
 

7. Plant Your Love.

My friend & neighbor Macrina is teaching me about plants! Last week she showed me how to clip and start growing new plants from my Spider Plant. This is exciting stuff! I am going from a black thumb to watching roots grow and they grow fast!
